Philippines to sign deal for 30M Novavax doses

The Philippines is set to sign a deal with US drugmaker Novavax on March 10 for 30 million doses of its coronavirus vaccine, according to Malacañang.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. flew to India to negotiate the procurement of the vaccines developed by Novavax and manufactured by Serum Institute of India.

The discussions are essentially underway with Indian officials for a supply of Novavax vaccines, which could provide a backbone for the Philippines' vaccination effort in the second half of this year.
