Palace: PH doing 'very good' job managing COVID-19

Malacañang believes the government is doing a 'very good' job in managing the coronavirus pandemic despite continuing spikes in infections.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque acknowledged ongoing transmission but emphasized that the Philippines has contained and limited deaths from COVID-19 compared to other countries.

Roque cited lockdown policies as preventing up to 3.5 million projected infections based on expert projections, placing the country's response in a positive context.

The Philippines reported 139,538 total cases on Tuesday, ranking 22nd globally according to Johns Hopkins University.
