PH logs 2.1K recoveries; active infections drop to 18.7K

As of Tuesday, November 23, the Philippines logged an additional 2,182 recoveries from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 2,761,617.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,153 new confirmed cases on Tuesday, reducing active infections to 18,721.

Another 195 deaths were recorded, raising the death toll to 47,482.

On Monday, November 22, the country saw its lowest daily number of new COVID-19 cases in nearly a week with only 984 infections reported, bringing active cases down to 19,798.

Sunday's report showed 3,152 new recoveries and 2,227 new infections, pushing the total recovered cases to 2,758,235 and active cases to 21,101.

The positivity rate remains low at around 2.3% on November 21.
