PH logs 13K new COVID cases, recoveries hit 2.35M

The Philippines reported 13,846 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the lowest daily case count since August 31.

Total recoveries increased by 39,980 to reach 2,353,140, marking a recovery rate of 93.3%.

Active cases stood at 132,139 or 5.2% of all cases, with 76.6% being mild and 16.4% asymptomatic.

The death toll rose to 37,686 after 91 new fatalities were recorded; however, this number may increase as the COVID-KAYA system resolves technical issues.
