DFA: 121 new COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos

As of Monday, September 27, the total number of COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad reached 23,277 with 121 new infections reported.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) stated that there are currently 8,425 Filipinos still undergoing treatment for the disease.

Additionally, 74 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total recoveries among overseas Filipinos to 13,465.

Two additional deaths were reported, increasing the fatality count to 1,387.

The breakdown of cases shows that Europe has 2,562 recoveries and 959 active infections; the Americas have 660 recoveries and 128 active infections; the Asia Pacific Region has 3,633 recoveries and 1,773 active infections.

The DFA continues to monitor and assist Filipinos abroad during the pandemic.
