DOH probes 669 for COVID-19, 3 confirmed cases

As of March 5, the Department of Health (DOH) has probed 669 patients for possible cases of COVID-19, with 37 admitted to hospitals and 629 discharged.

There are currently 3 confirmed cases in the Philippines; one patient died from severe pneumonia caused by the virus while two others have recovered.

No local transmission has been recorded in the country.

The breakdown of patients under investigation per region shows Metro Manila with the highest number at 225, followed by Calabarzon with 81 and Central Luzon with 76.
