Experts: PH coronavirus cases may hit 60K by end-July

Experts predict that coronavirus infections in the Philippines may exceed 60,000 by the end of July.

The University of the Philippines estimates cases in Manila and nearby cities could reach 30,000 with around 860 deaths, while Cebu City's cases might hit 15,000 under strict lockdown conditions.

OCTA Research also projects a range from 60,000 to 70,000 cases by July 31 based on the current reproduction rate of 1.28, indicating ongoing significant community transmission.
