Philippines reports 1,233 new coronavirus cases, total now at 52,914

As of Friday, July 10, the Philippines reported a total of 52,914 confirmed coronavirus cases with 1,233 new cases recorded that day.

The country has seen over a thousand new daily cases for eight consecutive days as quarantine restrictions were eased in Metro Manila and Central Visayas, except for Cebu City which remained under lockdown.

On Friday, 544 of the new cases were from Metro Manila and 58 from Central Visayas. The DOH reported that 848 cases are fresh while 385 are late cases.

The death toll rose to 1,360 with 42 additional deaths recorded on Friday, including 36 in Cebu.
