PGH: 50% of plasma-treated COVID-19 patients show fast recovery

Around 50% of COVID-19 patients who received convalescent plasma showed speedy recovery, PGH spokesperson Jonas del Rosario said on Thursday.

PGH is conducting a clinical trial for convalescent plasma as a treatment for COVID-19 and encouraging survivors to donate plasma due to short supply.

Del Rosario noted that the treatment is more effective when administered early in the course of illness and called on survivors to help current patients recover.
