Petro Gazz secures comeback win over Creamline in thrilling five-setter

Petro Gazz secured a crucial victory over Creamline in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex before a crowd of nearly 6,000 spectators.

Brooke Van Sickle led Petro Gazz with an impressive triple-double, scoring 29 points (including four blocks and two aces), while also recording 12 excellent digs and 20 excellent receptions.

Team captain Remy Palma played a key role in Petro Gazz's comeback victory, contributing 12 points including four blocks and demonstrating strong leadership to keep her teammates motivated throughout the match.

Jonah Sabete added 21 points and Djanel Cheng contributed 20 excellent sets for Petro Gazz, which improved its record to 6-2 in the conference.

Despite leading in Set 3 and nearly clinching the match in Set 4, Creamline ultimately fell to Petro Gazz in a decisive fifth set, marking their second loss of the season with a score of 15-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-19, 15-13.
