Petro Gazz secures PVL All-Filipino Conference semis berth

Petro Gazz secured a victory over Galeries in straight sets, 25-7, 25-21, 25-17, on Saturday at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna, solidifying their spot in the semifinals of the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

The win improved Petro Gazz's record to an impressive 8-2 and tied them with Creamline, Choco Mucho, and Chery Tiggo at the top of the standings after defeating Galeries Tower.

Brooke Van Sickle led the offensive charge with 17 points, while Jonah Sabete added 11 points and Djanel Cheng contributed excellent sets, ensuring Petro Gazz's place in the semifinals alongside their rivals.

Captain Remy Palma emphasized the importance of consistency and addressing lapses before upcoming challenging matches as Petro Gazz extends their winning streak to four games.

Petro Gazz faces Nxled next Saturday at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City to conclude their preliminary assignments, with all teams assured a spot in the semifinals based on their identical 8-2 records.
