PDEA, Cavite police arrest Nigerian suspects, Filipino drug pusher in separate buy-bust ops
Law enforcers arrested two Nigerian suspects and a Filipino drug pusher on Friday in Bacoor City, Cavite during separate buy-bust operations that netted ecstasy tablets and shabu worth over P11 million.
The first arrest involved 'Ik,' a 30-year-old student, and 'Stanley,' a 34-year-old religious pastor, who were apprehended by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Region 4A operatives alongside Cavite maritime police in front of a drug store in Barangay Molino III around 8:40 p.m.
The seizure included 800 ecstasy tablets valued at P1.36 million and 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000 from the Nigerian suspects.
In another operation later that night around 11:30 p.m., 'Kenneth,' a 23-year-old resident of Barangay Molino II, was arrested with 4,753 ecstasy tablets valued at P8.07 million and 230 grams of shabu worth P1.565 million.
Aside from the drugs seized, authorities also confiscated maroon, neon pink, blue and green powders suspected to be ecstasy during Kenneth's arrest.
Both the Nigerian suspects and Kenneth are classified as high-value individuals (HVI) in the illegal drug trade due to their roles as financiers or traffickers, and they will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The PDEA is investigating the source of the drugs seized from both operations.
