PDEA busts drug den, arrests five in Cotabato

On Friday afternoon, July 18, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) apprehended five men operating a drug den in Barangay Rosary Heights 4 in Cotabato City.

The suspects were caught during an entrapment operation planned with the help of confidential informants who reported their involvement in facilitating pot sessions and selling shabu to local buyers.

During the operation, the suspects sold 15 grams of shabu to non-uniformed PDEA agents and policemen from a rented apartment they used as a drug den.

Gil Cesario Castro, director of PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, confirmed that the suspects have been taken into custody and will face charges for operating a drug den, which is a non-bailable offense under Philippine law.

The confiscated shabu will be used as evidence to build airtight cases against the five suspects.
