NCRPO, PCSO aid Batangas evacuees from Taal eruption

As of Friday, January 17, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) have provided aid to nearly 2,000 residents in Batangas who were displaced due to the Taal Volcano eruption.

The NCRPO distributed relief goods including food packs, blankets, hygiene kits, diapers, and face masks to evacuees sheltering at Paaralang Central ng North Sto. Tomas in Santo Tomas town.

PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma led the donation of 5,000 N95 masks, 3,300 grocery packs, and medicines to affected residents in Bauan and Santo Tomas towns on Tuesday.

The PCSO also offered free transportation for evacuation purposes and promised financial assistance to local government units impacted by the disaster.
