PCG coordinates with LGUs for Rai preparations

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is coordinating with local government units to prepare for potential evacuations, rescue operations, and relief missions in areas expected to be affected by Severe Tropical Storm Rai.

PCG Commandant Admiral Leopoldo Laroya directed district, station, and sub-station commanders in Caraga and Western Visayas to activate deployable response groups and quick response teams, and inspect available search and rescue assets.

Laroya emphasized the importance of readiness and coordination with local government units to ensure safety during potential landfall.
