PCCI wants full economy reopening despite lockdown

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) is pushing for a full reopening of the economy despite not meeting herd immunity targets.

PCCI acting president Edgardo Lacson welcomed granular lockdowns but noted that any form of lockdown remains disruptive to businesses.

Lacson emphasized the need to accelerate vaccination efforts throughout the country to avoid further lockdowns and urged the removal of fear over the virus and potential future lockdowns.
