Pangasinan starts mass testing at Covid-19 hotspots

Pangasinan began mass testing at 16 identified hotspots on Tuesday to gather swab samples from suspect and probable cases as well as front-line workers.

The provincial government aims to conduct 4,000 tests across the province with priorities given to elderly individuals with co-morbidities and high-risk pregnant women.

As of May 5, Pangasinan had not recorded any new COVID-19 cases since April 25, maintaining a total case count of 39 with nine fatalities and 26 recoveries.

Dagupan City is excluded from the provincial mass testing as it conducts its own tests due to being a chartered city.
