Pangasinan mandates face masks in public

Pangasinan has mandated residents to wear face masks in public places to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed an ordinance on April 8 requiring everyone to wear a mask when outside their residence, at work, or in government buildings and offices.

Violators will be required to attend community service for the first offense and face stricter penalties for subsequent violations.

Private commercial businesses are advised to display the full copy of the ordinance within their establishments and prohibit entry to those not wearing masks.
