Roque claims 'small victory' over UP's COVID-19 case projection

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque claimed victory over projections of higher coronavirus cases by end-June.

UP OCTA researchers had estimated up to 40,000 cases by June 30 but the actual number was lower at 37,000.

Roque emphasized that this is a 'small victory' and urged Filipinos to continue following health protocols to further slow the spread of infections.

He clarified his fist-pumping gesture was meant to congratulate the people for their efforts in beating the prediction.
