Palace urges 28M unvax Filipinos to get jab

As of Tuesday, around 28 to 30 million Filipinos remain unvaccinated against COVID-19, including three million senior citizens.

National Task Force Against Covid-19 chief Carlito Galvez Jr. reported that more than 71 million adult Filipinos are expected to have received booster doses by the end of Q3, with over 90 million fully vaccinated by June.

Galvez highlighted challenges such as rising infection rates among healthcare workers and local government units being preoccupied with election activities.

Acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles urged those who are unvaccinated to get their shots and avail of booster doses after the recommended period.
