Malacañang denies blaming Duterte for vaccine site overcrowding

Malacañang denied blaming President Rodrigo Duterte for overcrowding at COVID-19 vaccination sites in Metro Manila.

Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte's directive on July 28 to police and barangay officials to escort unvaccinated individuals back to their homes did not cause the unexpected surge of people at vaccination centers on August 5.

Roque also advised local government units not to blame Duterte for any panic or crowding at vaccination sites, emphasizing that it is their responsibility to organize vaccinations properly.
