Palace warns mayors: Follow vaccine priority list or lose 44M doses

Malacañang urged mayors to adhere to the priority list for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque warned that continuing to skip the line could result in the Philippines losing over 44 million vaccine doses from the COVAX Facility.

Roque emphasized the importance of following the priority list, which prioritizes health workers and other vulnerable groups.

The warning came after President Rodrigo Duterte acknowledged a 'gray area' regarding local chief executives getting vaccinated ahead of others.
