Palace: Businesses can still require face shields

The Philippine government clarified on Friday that private businesses can still require employees and customers to wear face shields despite earlier guidance.

Acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles stated at a press briefing that the IATF amended its memorandum from Monday, which had made face shield use voluntary in areas under Alert Levels 1 to 3.

The new resolution clarifies that businesses retain discretion to mandate face shields for workers and customers within their premises.
