PH lifts mandatory face shield requirement in most areas

President Duterte has lifted the requirement for face shields in areas under Alert Levels 1 to 3.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and local government units have issued guidelines allowing voluntary use of face shields in these areas, while maintaining other health protocols like mask-wearing and physical distancing.

In Catbalogan City, Samar, residents are no longer required to wear face shields starting November 8th, but must still follow existing health measures.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III urged local governments and establishments under Alert Level 4 to require the use of face shields in closed spaces, crowded areas, and close contact settings for added protection.
