PAGASA warns of rain, thunderstorms in parts of PH due to Amihan, LPA

PAGASA reported that cloudy skies with light rains and scattered thunderstorms will continue across various parts of the Philippines due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the trough of a Low Pressure Area on Tuesday.

Caraga, Davao Region, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Southern Leyte, and parts of Mindanao are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, and the rest of Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with light rains caused by the monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Amihan with no significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of LPA, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Strong winds and rough seas prevail across Southern Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao, while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected elsewhere.
