Amihan brings coldest temps this season across Luzon

Temperatures dropped significantly across Luzon on Saturday morning as the cool northeast monsoon, or Amihan, continued to blanket the archipelago.

Baguio City recorded its lowest temperature this season at 9.8°C, surpassing Friday's reading of 12.2°C and setting a new seasonal low for the 2023-2024 Amihan season.

Metro Manila also observed its coldest temperature this season at 19.9°C in Science Garden, Quezon City.

Other locations such as Laoag City (16.2°C), Basco in Batanes (16.6°C), Malaybalay City (17.0°C), Science City of Muñoz (17.2°C), Tuguegarao City (17.6°C), Tanay, Rizal (17.7°C), Abucay in Bataan (18.2°C), Casiguran in Aurora (18.4°C), Sinait in Ilocos Sur (18.5°C), Aparri in Cagayan (19.1°C), and Baler in Aurora (19.7°C) also logged temperatures below 20.0°C.

The Amihan season typically runs from late October to mid-March and is expected to continue through the weekend with further drops in temperature.
