PAGASA warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain over Metro Manila and 8 provinces

Thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and eight provinces in Luzon for the next two to three hours, according to a PAGASA advisory issued Thursday morning.

At 11:37 a.m., PAGASA warned of moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds expected over Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Bulacan.

Alabat and Quezon in Quezon; Concepcion and Bamban in Tarlac; and San Antonio in Zambales are currently experiencing these conditions.

Residents in these regions are urged to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.

The weather bureau advised that the thunderstorms may persist for up to three hours and could affect nearby areas.
