PAGASA forecasts rain, scattered showers in Luzon, Visayas; easterlies affect Mindanao

PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies and scattered rain showers in various parts of Luzon and Visayas due to two weather systems: northeast monsoon (amihan) and shear line, while easterlies affect Mindanao on Tuesday.

Northern Samar and Eastern Samar are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line, while Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon province will experience light rains from the northeast monsoon.

Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will see scattered rain showers due to easterlies from the Pacific Ocean.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the northeast monsoon, while Visayas is expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers due to the shear line.

PAGASA warns that these conditions could result in flash floods or landslides and advises residents to exercise caution.
