PAGASA warns of rains, thunderstorms, flash floods across PH

Rains and isolated thunderstorms will continue to affect several parts of the Philippines through Sunday due to the northeast monsoon (Amihan) and shear line, according to PAGASA’s latest forecast.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected in Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Aurora, and Quezon where moderate to heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA will experience cloudy skies with rain due to Amihan, while the shear line affects Southern Luzon.

Caraga and Davao Region will observe cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to easterlies, potentially leading to severe thunderstorms that could trigger flash floods or landslides.

PAGASA warned of strong to gale winds and rough coastal waters in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas, while moderate wind conditions are expected elsewhere.
