PAGASA forecasts scattered rains, thunderstorms in southern Philippines

The easterlies are continuing to bring rain across various parts of the Philippines during what is typically the dry season.

PAGASA's latest forecast for Tuesday afternoon predicts cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao del Sur, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, while other regions may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides remain possible due to these weather conditions, posing risks for some areas.

Northern Luzon is expected to have moderate winds and moderate coastal waters, while the rest of the country will see light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperatures across the country are forecasted to range from a minimum of 26.7°C to a maximum of 34.9°C over the next 24-hour period.
