Rain showers, possible flash floods in Caraga, Davao due to LPA

Rain showers are expected across parts of the Philippines on Tuesday, with Caraga and Davao Region facing cloudy skies and scattered rain showers due to a low pressure area (LPA) trough.

State meteorologists advise residents in Caraga and Davao Region to prepare for possible flash floods and landslides as these regions may experience thunderstorms on Wednesday.

No tropical cyclone is anticipated to enter the country, while generally fair weather will prevail across Luzon despite light rains due to the northeast monsoon affecting Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon.

Visayas and Mindanao are expected to have isolated rain showers likely in the afternoon, with overcast skies affecting Davao Region and Soccsksargen throughout the day.

Winds will be moderate to strong with moderate to rough seas; sailors in Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country are advised of waves reaching up to 3.1 meters high.
