Over 4K passengers stranded in ports due to Odette

Over 4,000 passengers were stranded in various ports across the Philippines due to Typhoon Odette.

As of Thursday, December 16, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that 4,358 individuals, including drivers and cargo workers, were stranded in Bicol, Central Visayas, Northeastern Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Western Visayas.

Additionally, 1,969 rolling cargoes, 90 vessels, and nine motor bancas were also affected.

In Bicol alone, 1,533 individuals and 581 rolling cargoes were stranded due to moderate to rough seas.

The PCG emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety over convenience.
