Belmonte to get COVID-19 shots publicly to boost confidence

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced she would receive COVID-19 vaccines publicly to boost public confidence.

Despite not being part of the city's priority list, Belmonte said doing so could help convince vaccine-hesitant individuals.

Belmonte emphasized her commitment to achieving herd immunity in Quezon City for economic recovery.

Over 1 million residents have been identified as priority recipients for vaccines, including medical frontliners and essential workers.

The city will use its ID system for registration and has prepared 24 vaccination sites with trained inoculators.
