Magalong: Only 0.68% of LGUs have established contact tracing

Only 0.68% of local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines have established contact tracing capabilities, according to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong.

Of the approximately 8,100 LGUs surveyed, only around 614 responded, with just four having a good system in place.

Magalong emphasized that improving contact tracing is crucial for managing the pandemic and has been conducting trainings across six regions with high COVID-19 case numbers.
