Omega's late shot lifts Altas past Pirates, snaps Lyceum streak

Mark Omega scored a crucial three-pointer with just 2.4 seconds left to secure an 81-80 victory for Perpetual Help Altas over both LPU Pirates and Lyceum in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament.

Omega finished with a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Cyrus Nitura nearly recorded a triple-double with 18 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

Enoch Valdez scored 16 points for LPU Pirates, but they fell short in their final possession when Cunanan's inbound pass was intercepted as time expired.

The win snapped Lyceum's five-game winning streak and improved Perpetual Help's record to 8-7 while dropping Lyceum to 11-4.
