Lyceum beats St. Benilde for top playoff spot

Lyceum defeated College of St. Benilde with an 84-81 victory in the NCAA Season 99 men's basketball tournament on Friday at San Juan Arena.

Enoch Valdez led Lyceum with 15 points and six rebounds, while JM Bravo and John Barba added 14 and 13 points respectively.

St. Benilde's Migs Oczon scored 19 points but the team committed 20 turnovers that cost them the game.

Lyceum extended their winning streak to five games and tied with idle Mapua for first place in the elimination round, while St. Benilde dropped to third place at 9-5.
