OCTA urges gov't to prioritize NCR Plus 8 in J&J vaccine roll-out

OCTA Research on Tuesday urged the government to continue prioritizing NCR Plus 8 in the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines despite limited supply.

The group made this suggestion amid the government's plan to deploy over three million doses of Johnson and Johnson (J&J) single-dose vaccine to island provinces, including those in Visayas and Mindanao.

OCTA fellow Prof. Ranjit Rye emphasized that sticking to the NCR Plus 8 prioritization blueprint is key for short or medium-term success and hoped it would not be influenced by politics.
