OCTA: NCR COVID-19 positivity rate climbs to 16%

The COVID-19 daily positivity rate in the National Capital Region (NCR) climbed to 16% as of Friday, up from 14.6% earlier in the week.

OCTA Research noted that while the one-week growth rate in new cases decreased to 15%, the ADAR reached 6.43 per day per 100,000 people.

The healthcare utilization rate (HCUR) was at 34%, with ICU occupancy at 26%. OCTA stressed that it is unclear what is driving this trend and when the peak will be reached.
