NUNS wins UAAP Season 87 girls' volleyball title

National University-Nazareth School (NUNS) secured first place in the UAAP Season 87 girls' volleyball tournament by defeating Far Eastern University-Diliman, Wednesday at the Paco Arena.

The Lady Bullpups won with a convincing score of 25-21, 25-17, 25-20 and improved their record to 9-1 under head coach Ray Dimaculangan's guidance.

Skipper Harlyn Serneche led the team with 16 points, followed by Denesse Daylisan with 15 points including four aces and two blocks, while Diza Marie Berayo contributed 12 points.

Far Eastern University-Diliman's Raine Alonzo finished with 13 points but it wasn't enough to overcome NUNS' strong performance.

University of Santo Tomas also won on Wednesday against UP Integrated School by a score of 25-13, 25-13, 25-22, extending its winning streak in the tournament.
