NU wins 2-1 record, secures second twice-to-beat

National University (NU) dominated the University of the East (UE), winning 25-14, 25-20, 25-17 on Wednesday to secure a 2-1 record and earn their second twice-to-beat advantage in Pool E of the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Preseason Championship.

Alyssa Solomon and Bella Belen each scored 11 points, with Solomon contributing nine kills and Belen adding five attacks and five aces.

Assistant coach Karl Dimaculangan praised the team's adaptation to coach Sherwin Meneses' system for their successful execution of the game plan in his absence.

NU will face the winner of the De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde match on Sunday, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the quarterfinals and owning a win-once privilege.
