NU leads Pool A in Shakey's Super League

National University (NU), reigning UAAP Season 86 champions, will lead Pool A of the Shakey's Super League National Invitationals at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Wednesday.

The Lady Bulldogs face Enderun College in their opening match at noon and will be supported by Alas Pilipinas mainstays Bella Belen and Arah Panique for two games before joining the national team training camp in Japan.

Alyssa Solomon remains sidelined due to an injury, while NU team captain Erin Pangilinan emphasized that this is a great opportunity for rookies to showcase their skills.

De La Salle University, last year's inaugural champions, won't participate this year due to several players nursing injuries; they are replaced by UAAP fourth placer Far Eastern University in Pool C.

The tournament features top teams from UAAP, NCAA, and regional leagues with matches scheduled throughout the day starting at 9 a.m. with University of San Carlos vs Letran.
