NSA: PH considering China's fishing village partnership proposal

National Security Adviser Clarita Carlos said the government is considering a proposal from China to establish partnerships between Chinese and Philippine fishing villages.

Carlos made this statement during a televised briefing when asked about President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s recent visit to Beijing.

She noted that discussions are ongoing at various levels, including cooperation between the Philippine Coast Guard and the Chinese Coast Guard, to find ways to reduce tensions in the West Philippine Sea.
