NorthPort's season ended after losing Game 5 of their PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals against Barangay Ginebra by a score of 126-99 on Friday, March 7.

Ginebra dominated the game with a strong second and third quarter performance, pulling away from NorthPort to secure a five-game sweep in the series following a loss in Game 4 that served as motivation for the team.

Rookie RJ Abarrientos led Ginebra's scoring with 20 points, ten assists, four rebounds, and two steals, while Justin Brownlee contributed 21 points and eleven rebounds.

Kadeem Jack was named Player of the Game for his performance with 31 points for NorthPort, but it wasn't enough to prevent a blowout loss.

Ginebra's victory sets up a best-of-seven finals rematch against TNT Tropang Giga, marking their 32nd overall finals appearance and Tim Cone's 40th entry into the title bout.
