Philippine police raise millions for COVID-19 response

Police officers across various regions in the Philippines have contributed millions of pesos through their personal funds as part of the PNP's 'Bayanihan Fund Challenge' to support the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Capital Region Police Office raised over PHP30 million, exceeding its original target of PHP25.7 million from 25,805 personnel and 116 regional support unit members.

In Bicol, police officers contributed more than P10 million to assist Filipinos affected by the pandemic.

Northern Mindanao police raised over PHP8.5 million, with contributions coming from various provincial offices and city police units.
