TerraFirma beats TNT 117-108, ends 11-game losing streak

TerraFirma Dyip secured their only win in PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup with a 117-108 victory over TNT Tropang GIGA on Wednesday, January 22 at Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Mark Nonoy, inspired by his childhood idol Jayson Castro of TNT, scored a career-high 33 points, including five three-pointers and two four-point shots, leading TerraFirma to their crucial win.

Brandon Edwards added 19 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, while Louie Sangalang contributed 16 points for TerraFirma, who ended TNT's six-game winning streak.

Nonoy credited his team’s veterans and coaches for keeping morale high despite losing their first 11 games, leading to this victory that gave TerraFirma a 1-11 finish in the conference.

The rookie player's standout performance against Tropang Giga veteran Jayson Castro was highlighted by key shots late in the game, including a fourth-quarter three-pointer that sealed the win for TerraFirma.
