Duterte's face shield policy considered official

President Duterte's statement requiring the wearing of face shields in addition to masks is considered policy, according to Malacañang.

However, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles and Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega maintain that face shields are still required outside hospitals.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III claims Duterte agreed face shields should only be used in hospitals.
