Palace: No need to reallocate anti-insurgency funds for disaster response

Malacaŋang Palace spokesperson Harry Roque said there is no need to reallocate funds from the PHP19-billion anti-insurgency budget for disaster response.

Roque assured typhoon-affected communities that they will benefit from the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) funds, which are allocated to areas with insurgency problems.

The P16.4 billion of the NTF-ELCAC's proposed 2021 budget will be used for barangay development programs in typhoon-hit regions like Bicol and Catanduanes.
