Senators propose realigning funds for typhoon-hit LGUs

Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senator Risa Hontiveros both proposed reallocating funds from existing budgets to aid typhoon-hit local government units.

Lacson suggested realigning funding from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (NDRRMF) to Assistance to Local Government Units, prioritizing those affected by Typhoon Rolly with low local revenues.

Hontiveros urged reallocating a portion of the P19-billion proposed budget for the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) towards disaster recovery efforts in areas hit by Super Typhoon Rolly.
