Filipinos abroad COVID-19 cases reach 10,843

The number of Filipinos infected with COVID-19 abroad has risen to 10,843 as of Wednesday, according to the DFA.

No new recoveries were reported, while one additional fatality was recorded, bringing the death toll to 799.

The Middle East and Africa continue to have the highest number of cases (7,127) with 517 deaths and 4,300 recoveries. Europe follows with 1,201 infections, including 95 fatalities and 939 recoveries.

In Asia Pacific, there are 1,705 cases with nine deaths and 1,198 recoveries. In the Americas, 810 Filipinos have been infected, with 178 deaths and 466 recoveries.
