NLEX closes two northbound lanes at Marilao Interchange due to crash; repairs for two to three weeks

The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation announced the emergency temporary closure of two northbound lanes at Marilao Interchange Bridge on Wednesday, March 19, following a road crash involving two trucks.

Traffic advisory advises motorists to expect delays and use alternate routes: those heading from EDSA to Bulacan or Pampanga should exit at Karuhatan, Paso de Blas, or Meycauayan and re-enter the highway further north; for travelers going from Bulacan or Pampanga to Manila, NLEX recommends exiting at Bocaue Southbound Interchange or CDV Southbound, turning right onto MacArthur Highway before re-entering the highway.

NLEX Corporation said three lanes are passable on the NLEX northbound in Lawang Bato, Valenzuela on Saturday morning and a zipper lane has been opened before the Lias Overpass to after Marilao Interchange for northbound traffic.

At the Marilao Interchange Bridge going to MacArthur Highway and San Jose Del Monte, only class 1 vehicles are allowed to pass. Class 2 and 3 vehicles are temporarily prohibited from using the bridge as repair work is expected to take two to three weeks.
